Promoting Positive Mental Well Being in Primary Schools
The Board of Management welcomes the recent publication on promoting positive mental well being, launched by the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Health. The BOM will support the work of staff and parents in this regard.
Bullying/Cyberbullying Intervention and Prevention Workshop
The Board of Management has received confirmation of the Bullying/Cyberbullying Intervention and Prevention Workshop, which will take place on April 15th 2015.
Golf Classic Fundraising Event
The Board of Management wishes to thank the committee who, with the support of the Parents’ Association, are organising a fundraising event on Saturday April 18th. This will take the form of a Golf Classic in Ballinasloe Golf Club and all funds raised will go towards the drainage of the school pitch.
Engineers’ Week February 9th-13th
Many thanks to Science Co-ordinator, Mrs Aine Bleahene for organising a range of exciting events to celebrate Engineers’ Week.
Credit Union Quiz Teams
Congratulations to the school’s four quiz teams on their exceptional performance in the local Credit Union Quiz. Sincere thanks to the teachers who prepared them for this event. We wish those progressing to the next round the best of luck.

Congratulations to teaching staff member, Ms Sinead Cahalan and the Mullagh team on reaching the All Ireland Club Camogie Final which will take place on March 1st in Croke Park
St Brigid’s Day Crosses
The BOM congratulates all involved in making St Brigid’s Day crosses, especially teacher, Ms Regina Power for overseeing the initiative again this year. The sale of these crosses raised €2619, which has been presented to Ballinasloe Social Services.
Sincere thanks to Helen and Declan Harney for training a second group of the staff in the use of the school’s defibrillator.
The Board of Management continues to proactively pursue the issue of parking at the school. Once again, we ask parents/guardians to exercise extreme caution at peak times around the school. We ask you to consider making greater use of the church car park where you can park safely. The safety of all of our pupils is our primary concern at all times.
