20th May 2014 Agreed Report
Letter from the Department of Education and Skills informing the Board of Management that the school’s request for funding under the Summer Works Scheme has been declined.
Letter from the Town Council informing the Board that the revised location for the proposed Astro Turf Pitch has been approved. Work is due to commence on this project shortly. The Board expressed its thanks to the Town Council for its funding towards this project and to Creagh Parents’ Association for their support.
The BOM congratulated the Principal and the staff on the recent Whole School Evaluation Report, which affirms the high quality of teaching and learning in the school. The Principal informed the BOM of the proposals to address the areas identified in the report as being in need of further development. The BOM finalised its response to the DES. The full report will be published on the DES website shortly.
75th Anniversary of the School
The BOM proposes to mark this occasion during the first term of the new school year.
The BOM congratulates the two second classes on the receipt of their First Holy Communion. The Board extends its thanks to their class teachers, Ms Regina Power and Ms Emer O’ Sullivan, to the pupils in the choir, the organist, Ms Sinéad Cahalan and choir directors, Mrs Caroline Gallagher and Mrs Áine Bleahene. Sincere thanks also to Fr Declan Mc Inerney, chief celebrant, Fr Garvey, Fr O’ Donovan and Fr Killeen.
8th Green Flag
The BOM congratulates the school on receipt of its 8th Green Flag. Many thanks to project coordinator, Aine Bleahene, pupils and staff on this great achievement.
Scór na bPáistí/ CU Factor
The BOM extends its congratulations to David Ward, winner of the solo singing competition at the recent county final of Scór na bPáistí. Congratulations also to the other participants:

Congratulations to Niamh Costello and Dariya Plaksiy who came first in the Irish Dancing category and to Amy Costello who came second in Sean Nós Dancing.
