Sr Annette’s Visit to Creagh NS
We were delighted to welcome Sr Annette, currently home from Tanzania, to our school last week. Creagh NS has developed very strong links with various communities in Tanzania over the past twenty years. Health and Safety Issues
➢ Food Allergies: It is essential that we are up to date in relation to any food allergies that your child may have. If you have not already contacted the school with this information, please do so. A reminder also that we request that treats are not sent into your child’s classroom as some pupils have allergies to certain food products. We thank you for your full co-operation with this.
➢ We remind you that the official opening time for school is 9.20a.m. Pupils should not be dropped off early. The Board of Management requests your full co-operation in this regard.
➢ Road Safety. We continue to remind pupils of the importance of being safe and secure when travelling to and from school. Safety belts should be worn at all times even on short journeys. We encourage pupils to wear helmets when cycling.
➢ Parking. Our pupils’ safety is our priority at all times. We ask you to continue to exercise extreme caution particularly when dropping off and collecting your child from school. It is not always possible to park immediately outside the school grounds. There is parking available at the church and near the cemetery which parents should consider using before walking your child safely to the school.
➢ Head lice can spread rapidly in a class unless all parents/guardians are vigilant about checking their child’s hair regularly. You will receive a text message in the event that there is a case of head lice in your child’s class.
➢ Please do not use the main entrance for dropping off and/ or collecting your children. This entrance leads on to a busy car park and is for staff use only.
